Alliance Française
Plays host both to home-grown musicians and artists from around the world.
The Alliance Française promotes Francophone culture in masterful fashion, playing host both to home-grown musicians and artists from around the world. With a big garden, two outdoor stages and a formidable reputation, it has no problem in attracting big-hitting names to perform: Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, has played here, as have a selection of leading highlife bands.
An annual month-long music festival, loosely based around Francophone genres, sees musicians from Europe play alongside Ghanaian acts. The site also plays home to a couple of excellent restaurants, including Papa Cuisine , which means you can kick back with a chilled beer and an excellent pizza while listening to the show. Win-win.
