In 2011, one-time World Cup winner Marcel Desailly opened up this world-class sporting complex in Accra. The eponymous Lizzy is the famous former pro’s mother. Desailly reportedly sold the property in 2019 to Ghanaian businessman and entrepreneur Dr Osei Kwame for an undisclosed amount. There’s one almost full-sized pitch, plus three five-a-side areas and accommodation for visiting teams. There’s also a gym, semi-Olympic swimming pool, overlooked by the Bedouin Pool Lounge, a basketball court and a children’s pool. Daily passes are available, which also entitle you to use the floodlit football pitches in the evenings.
