Melcom Plus Complex
One of the bigger Melcom shopping centres.
For more than 25 years, Melcom has been at the centre of Ghana’s retail industry. It now boasts the country’s largest chain of shopping complexes, with almost 30 up and running. The biggest of these is in the North Industrial Area (details listed below), where the mall’s three floors cover pretty much anything you might be looking for, including white goods, household items, clothing and a wide range of food, including fresh fruit and veg. There’s also a pharmacy, a café and a KFC. Melcom has added branches in Tema (Post Office Road, Traffic Light Meridian, opposite Vodafone) and Kumasi (Prempeh 2nd Street, Adum), but the most recent branch is in Accra’s Achimota area (Achimota Nsawam Road, opposite the Neoplan Station). The company also has a travel arm, Melcom Travel and Tours Ltd, which guides customers through both national and international trip-planning.
