This national park, with the Accra plains to its south and forest to its north, was established in 1890. The park runs a horticultural school and has ten lawns with more than 375 varying plant types, as well as over 100 acres of forest threaded with nature trails. It’s popular with bird and butterfly watchers and is also a great destination for picnics, under the shade of 160-year-old kapok trees.
